Quality Control

for the process of making tablets

The manufacturing process of tablets is subject to very strict quality control at every stage of the process:

Selection and quality verification of raw materials for production

The completeness and consistency of the documentation is verified and each of the raw materials is evaluated according to the analysis plan

Weighing

The weighing process of the ingredients is carried out in accordance with the approved technological specification, in which an individual code is assigned for each of the substances, in order to ensure full traceability

Granulating

If necessary, before tableting, the raw materials are subjected to a granulation process. The process ends with calibration by means of sieves, guaranteeing the obtaining of granules of the desired particle size

Blending

The detailed operating instructions define the order and method of mixing all the ingredients. The operator makes an organoleptic assessment of the mixture - color, smell, taste.

Tableting

During the whole process, the thickness, weight, appearance and hardness, abrasiveness and disintegration time of the tablets are analyzed

Coating

During the whole process, the weight and appearance of the tablets are controlled

Stages of the production process

Weighing

Granulation

We have granulator and fluidization tower. Formulations that are more demanding, not suitable for direct tableting, are granulated in the first place.

Blending

We have bin and V type mixers. In large-scale production, we mix batches with a batch size of up to 220kg. We have 8 high-capacity BINs, which allows us to handle several production processes at the same time, without having to take into account the time for reassembly.

We validate the mixing processes and draw up dedicated instructions for each manufactured product, described in the product manufacturing technology.

Tableting

We have the capacity to tablet up to 222,000 tablets per hour. Currently we are able to produce round tablets with a diameter of 12mm and oblong tablets with dimensions of 19.0x9.5mm or 17.0x8.5mm. We cooperate with recognized manufacturers of instrumentation for tablet presses, we are able to choose other formats if necessary, according to the customer's needs. All manufactured tablets are passed through a metal detector.

Coating

We can coat the tablet cores with different shell colors depending on customer expectations. Film-coated tablets are easier to swallow, and by using envelopes, it is possible to mask the unpleasant taste/smell and protect the active substance located in the core from external factors. We have experience in coating tablets with coatings without titanium oxides. Thanks to close, long-term contacts with the manufacturers of envelopes, we are able to develop envelopes in the selected color in a short time.

Packing

Produced tablets can be delivered as: bulk product (BULK), in blisters, blisters and cardboard boxes, glass jars, plastic jars with a label, in pouches.

We have high efficiency blister lines with automatic cartoning machine, as well as automatic counting machines for packaging into jars or pouches.

Our packaging plant is also adapted to the execution of non-standard orders, in which the products are packaged manually.

Do you produce complex formulations?

Thanks to the equipment of our modern machine park with a granulation and fluidization tower, we cope with the tableting of technologically cumbersome raw materials, such as diosmin, by subjecting them to a previous granulation process before the start of tabletting.

What types of tablets can you produce?

We have equipment capable of producing round tablets with dimensions from 6 to 16 mm. The largest shaped tablets we can produce are oblong 19x9,5mm. We can produce both uncoated and coated tablets. In addition, we make convenient to use, uncoated tablets that disintegrate in the mouth (so-called ODT).

Do you have experience in coating tablets with TiO2-free coatings?

We have extensive experience in the production of coated tablets according to the latest market trends (no TiO2 added). We are able to coat tablets in virtually any color. We cooperate with the manufacturers of envelopes, we can adjust the color of the envelopes to the customer's expectations.

What visual capabilities of tablets do you offer?

Depending on the demand, the tablets produced by us can be colored coated, have an engraving or graduation and have different shapes.

Do you manufacture extended-release tablets?

Yes. Depending on the composition and dosage, we can use extended-release technologies.

Do you produce enteral tablets?

Yes, we are able to make such pills.
